Mounting an awning on the van brings a lot of life... An awning allows you to enjoy shade on the sunniest and hottest days. It also allows you to enjoy a light summer rain, outdoors, without water filtering through the awning fabric. You just need to be careful with strong wind and heavy rain, which could damage your awning.
We can install an awning on your camper van or motorhome in our workshop. We can advise you to help you find the awning you need for your van or motorhome.
If you have a camper van, to mount the awning you will need a specific adapter for your van and the awning itself, which can be of different lengths depending on the length of your vehicle. You can find adapters and awnings in our store. These adapters may need to be installed in existing holes on the van, or new holes may need to be made, which will have to be sealed to prevent any water ingress. Each adapter bracket is installed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If you have a motorhome or caravan, often the awning can be installed directly onto the wall of the motorhome, with flat brackets that are already included with the awning. To install these brackets on the side of the motorhome, through-holes will need to be made and the brackets secured with a plate from inside the motorhome. The work is finished with trim pieces that are put on to cover the internal plate (these trim pieces are also included).
According to current ITV regulations, awnings must be included in the vehicle's technical data sheet. We can also advise you on the procedure to do this.
